About the last SARS outbreak in 2003

February 2020

I have collected some interesting files about the last SARS outbreak in 2003 and about the family of Coronaviruses. I have put them all in pdf format for ease of reading, they should all be readable in full-page format.

First of all, about the family of coronaviruses:

Now, a very interesting résumé from the NCBI Bookshelf (National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health).
Institute of Medicine (US) Forum on Microbial Threats; Knobler S, Mahmoud A, Lemon S, et al., editors. Learning from SARS: Preparing for the Next Disease Outbreak: Workshop Summary. Washington (DC): National Academies Press (US); 2004:

Lessons-learned-from-SARS-for-future-outbreaks

Finally, the full proceedings comprising about 370 odd pages which can be downloaded as a free pdf from here:

It is fascinating, to say the least, to read about the SARS outbreak in 2003 and the many wise and well-thought out comments on the outbreak from the current perspective in early April 2020.
